Telkom Showcases Digital Products and Local Startups at Pavilion Expo 2020 Dubai

Telkom Indonesia is present at the Indonesia Pavilion Expo 2020 Dubai, an event that takes place in a hybrid manner, namely offline directly in Dubai and online. There, Telkom displays a variety of digital products and startups in the country.

Telkom exhibited a number of digital products and startups made by the nation's best children to foreign delegates, governments, investors, and business partners. This event itself takes the theme of big data and how it is applied to vaccinations in Indonesia, the Internet of Things (IoT), to strategies to win business competition.

Telkom introduced Telin's role in accelerating digital expansion, to the future of the gaming industry in Indonesia. Not to forget the startup pitch and speed dating agenda by MDI which was attended by eight local startups, namelyOptiongo, Izy, TaniHub, Alodokter, Manpro, Ctscope, Dagangan, and SiCepat.

According to Telkom's Director of Digital Business, Fajrin Rasyid, digital transformation has an important role that can have a big impact on workers and consumers.

“The impact on workers is that they can create job opportunities and increase activity and productivity. Meanwhile, the impact for consumers is improving service to customers and facilitating their accessibility to business," said Fajrin in his statement, Tuesday (11/1).

Fajrin admitted, Telkom has been playing a role in digital transformation, one of which is through the development of big data. Currently, Telkom has 20 data centers spread across Indonesia.

From Pavilion Expo 2020 Dubai, Telkom hopes that events like this can invite foreign investors to be encouraged to invest in Indonesia and recognize the country's increasingly strong digitization step.

At the same event, Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) Mira Tayyiba also added, Indonesia has intensively handled the pandemic through vaccination and the application of the PeduliLindung application as a result of collaboration between Kominfo, the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes), and Telkom itself.

Until now, Mira said, Indonesia has prepared infrastructure that supports digital acceleration.

"We believe this is the right time for investors to invest in Indonesia," Mira concluded.
